'Als zij het niet begrijpen dan begrijpen wij het wel' consists of photos I took on a disposable camera during a New Year's Eve party on december 31st 2021. It was the first time that I decided to use a disposable camera for a project. The main reason I love this project so much is because the images resemble the way my friends are (or were at the time) perfectly. I realised that probably not a lot of people would know that these images resemble my friends so well so I wasn't sure if I should include them in my exposition in february 2022. My friend then said: "Als zij het niet begrijpen dan begrijpen wij het wel." ("If they don't understand it then we will.") So I decided to exhibit them anyways and that is also how the project name was born.
